Her gaze is directed towards a black snake on the left. She appears to be picking the fruit hanging from the tree above her. Is it the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden? On the hanging frame belonging to the original painting it says: \"Blue princess 1918\" and \"Eve with the snake\".
