His artistic path began after a trip to Gotland, where he met a number of artists who inspired him. Bergh then began to abandon law as painting took up more of his time.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHis first attempt to enter the Academy of Fine Arts was rejected, but this did not weigh Bergh down. He continued to paint and in the meantime had several oil exhibitions at the Stockholm Art Association.
