He then sets out in his chariot, drawn by the goats Tanngnjóstr and Tanngrisnir, in search of evil in the form of giants. In the fight against them, he swings his hammer Mjölner and tightens the swing strap of his power belt Megingjord, causing his strength to grow. Psychologically speaking, Tor is quite simple, unlike Odin. He was worshiped mainly by peasants and serfs.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eIn Mårten Eskil Winge's interpretation, Tor is strong, determined and fearless. The painting received a very positive reception when it was shown for the first time at the National Museum in 1872. The interest in Old Norse history and the world of the gods was long-standing.
