The story behind the motif
Poster featuring the beautiful painting Four Dancers created by the iconic artist Edgar Degas in 1899.
In the picture we see four ballerinas with fluffy dresses and their hair in a knot. They stand together on the left side of the painting with a beautiful background of greenery and a sky changing in different colors.
Edgar Degas was a French artist, printmaker and sculptor. In addition to portraits, his early pictures were often history paintings. Later, Degas also became interested in modern Parisian life and was influenced by the artist Édouard Manet. Degas ' innovation and his sense of movement in the images make him one of the great early modernists of the late 19th century.
