The Cidery That Became a Juice Factory
The poster was printed in the same year that Hardanger Cidreri & Saftfabrik was founded at Aga. Cider production had a short life, however: the cidery closed as early as 1914, while the factory continued with juice and preserves.

The story behind the motif

 

Posts with a beautifully illustrated poster for Hardanger Ciderry in Norway. 

Norwegian cider traditions can be traced all the way back to Viking times. Production peaked in the late 1800s before being brought to an abrupt halt by 1920s prohibition. In 2016, cider producers were allowed to sell cider with an alcohol content above 4.7% on their farms. In 2019, cider was the fastest growing product category at Vinmonopolet.
