The story behind the motif

Poster with a retro movie poster from 1931. Love and gasoline is a German operetta film from 1930 directed by Wilhelm Thiele. The original title is Die Drei von der Tankstelle .

The film stars Willy Fritsch, Heinz Rühmann, Oskar Karlweis and Lilian Harvey in the lead roles. It's about three friends who buy a gas station and fall in love with the same woman.
