In Kary Lasch we see a moment from the iconic restaurant Nalen in the 1950s with musicians and visitors. During the 1950s, restaurant Nalen occupied a special position in Stockholm's music scene. The house became a kind of free space for young musicians who were looking for a stage for the new – a more modern expression of jazz, closely intertwined with the emergence of a growing youth culture.
Kary Lasch was a Swedish photographer with a unique international career. He portrayed royalty, artists and movie stars, but also racing's greatest moments. His original works sell at auction for significant sums and have been exhibited at Fotografiska, cementing his position as one of the most important photographers of the 20th century.
