A Saddler at the World’s Fair
The Camille firm at 24 Rue du Château-Landon in Paris was listed in the official catalogue of the 1900 World’s Fair, noted for saddlery and horse equipment. The same workshop had already been awarded an honorary diploma at Amsterdam’s international exhibition in 1895 – a sign that it worked for an international market.

The story behind the motif

Originally, this Parisian house was founded in 1826 by Mr. Essminger, and was then taken over in 1856 by Mr. Trusselle who merged in 1871 with Alphonse Camille. At this time and well into the early 20th century, Alp was considered. Camille Jeune to be the world's foremost in his field. House Alp. At the end of the 19th century, Camille Jeune was considered the premier saddlery in the world, a reputation that would last until the beginning of the 20th century.

This poster is not only a tribute to this storied Parisian craft house, but also a celebration of its unique contribution to the art and history of saddlery. The detailed and beautifully executed illustration captures the elegance and quality of the house, making this poster an exquisite addition to any collector's collection and a stately decoration in any home.
