The story behind the motif
Poster with antique match label from Uddevalla tändsticksfabrik. On match boxes that were produced in Sweden in the past, labels were affixed that showed which match factory and brand made the matches.

The labels were adapted to the market the matches were intended for and as matches were a major Swedish export, matches were distributed all over the world and the motifs varied greatly to suit the clientele.
