When Kronoberget Became a Park
When this image was taken in January 1937, the site was still called Kronoberget—the name Kronobergsparken was not adopted until 1962. By then, the park had taken shape over several decades from a barren rocky area, filled with rubbish and topsoil when the City of Stockholm laid it out between 1891 and 1912.

The story behind the motif

A lovely picture of three boys sledding in Kronobergsparken on Kungsholmen in 1937. With a height of 40 meters, Kronobergsparken, or Kronoberget as it was called until 1962, is Kungsholmen's highest point.
