The last summer of left-hand traffic
1967 was the last Swedish summer before H Day. During the night of 3 September, large parts of the traffic system were closed, and at five o’clock the country changed from driving on the left to driving on the right—after an information campaign that had reached almost every Swede.

The story behind the motif

Poster with a lovely black and white photograph from the summer of 1967. In the picture we see a beautiful k vinna lying in a hammock and reading the newspaper. The photo reflects an idyllic Swedish summer day with a rural setting and wild flowers.

During the same time that the photo was taken , steam manufacturer and Member of Parliament Sven Wedén was elected leader of the People's Party after Bertil Ohlin.
