The story behind the motif

Poster with a painting from 1673 by the Swedish nobleman and artist David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl. He has received the honorary name The father of Swedish painting and is known for the claim Art presents riddles that could not be solved by everyone. The work is a portrait of Karl XI's life horse, the Blue Tiger.
