The story behind the motif
Fashion plate from the third issue of the Parisian magazine Très Parisien in 1923, published between 1920 and 1936. The plate is unsigned and presents fabrics from Jersiris under the heading Friendship. Two silk jersey ensembles take center stage: one is paired with a small, softly tailored paletot, while the other features organza details.
The original was produced in Paris using zincography, stencil coloring, hand-coloring, and letterpress text – techniques that give the fashion image its distinctive 1920s character. The elongated silhouettes, the beret, and the bracelet place the image within the sporty elegance of the era. The clear typography and the graphic lines of the garments also allow the plate to function beautifully today as a refined decorative motif.
Created: 1923.
