The Poster as a Puzzle
Before it could be digitised, the poster was part of the National Library of Sweden’s rescue project for 275 damaged posters. Detached, numbered paper fragments had to be fitted back together like a puzzle so that the text could also be reconstructed. Only then did cataloguing and a long rest in storage await it.

The story behind the motif

Poster with a retro illustration created in 1932 by Hjalmar Thoresson. On the picture we see the text: " The wagon the world is waiting...The new Ford on its way to Sweden ". Along with the text, we see the motif of boats on a sea and the silhouette of a large car in the background.
